10 Things You Should Know About Urmi Festival in Pune
1. Beautiful Handmade Nath by ChandrakorKanya
If you love traditional Maharashtrian jewellery, you should definitely check out Chandrakorkanya.
They have a beautiful collection of handmade nathis that perfectly capture the charm of Maharashtrian jewellery. The designs are elegant, traditional, and worth exploring, especially if you love wearing a nath during festivals and family functions.

2. Traditional Indian Miniatures That Bring Back Childhood Memories
This was personally my favourite stall at the Urmi Festival in Pune! Grateful Art By Poonam.
Imagine finding a tiny bhatukli set made from clay, just like the ones we used to play with during childhood.
And remember the thirsty crow story we all learned in school? They even had a miniature matka with a crow!
These little showpieces beautifully represent Indian culture, traditions, and childhood memories.
If you love collecting unique home decor pieces or gifting something meaningful, you shouldn’t miss this stall.

3. Sheep Wool Mattresses and Pillows
Have spondylitis, neck pain, or trouble finding a comfortable pillow?
There is an interesting stall at Urmi Festival in Pune called Nidra Creations. They sell thoughtfully crafted mattresses and pillows made from sheep wool.
The products caught my attention because they offer something different from the usual cotton mattresses and pillows.
Yes, the prices are slightly higher than regular cotton alternatives. However, if comfort and natural materials matter to you, this stall is worth exploring.
Just remember that a pillow or mattress alone cannot treat spondylitis or other medical conditions.
4. Natural Baby Food Options
Parents, this one is for you! If you have a cute little baby, you must visit the Urmi Festival in Pune for this stall.
There was a stall dedicated to natural baby food products: Balvvardhak. It was nice to see a small business focusing on food options for little ones.
If you are a parent looking for baby food, you can explore their collection and learn more about the ingredients.
Of course, always check the age recommendations, ingredients, and nutritional information before buying anything for your baby.
5. Perfume Lovers Have Options Too!
Who doesn’t love a good fragrance?
Urmi Festival Pune also has different perfume brands showcasing their collections. I really loved the collection by Scent Scape.
Whether you prefer something floral, refreshing, sweet, or strong, you can explore different fragrances and discover brands you may not have heard of before.
And that’s the beauty of exhibitions. You get to experience products in person before deciding what to buy.

6. Beautiful Bangles by Mammohi
Another stall at the Urmi Festival in Pune that deserves a mention is Mammohi, which has a dedicated collection of bangles.
They have some really beautiful designs!
If you love accessorising your ethnic outfits with bangles, this stall is worth visiting. You might find something that perfectly complements your festive wardrobe.
7. Limited Food Options, but Don’t Miss the Agra Chaat!
Let’s talk about food because no exhibition experience is complete without something delicious!
Urmi Festival in Pune has limited but decent food options.
When you enter the open lawn, you will find a cash counter on your right. You need to purchase food coupons from there and then visit your preferred food or beverage stall.
You can find traditional options like pithla bhakri, along with chaat and other refreshments.
However, I have one small complaint.
The chaat counter opened quite late! And considering how popular chaat is at such events, I was surprised by the delay.
But I must admit, the wait was worth every bite!
Do try their Agra chaat. I absolutely loved it.
Also, if you are a Pav Bhaji lover, skip eating Pav Bhaji here. Their pav/bread is sweet.
8. No Dedicated Parking Arrangements
This is something you should know before leaving home.
Urmi Festival in Pune does not have dedicated parking arrangements, and the organisers have been communicating this from the beginning.
Still, I noticed people asking about valet parking.
If you are taking your own vehicle, you will need to find a safe and legally permitted roadside parking spot.
Make sure you don’t block someone’s entrance or park in a no-parking zone.
9. Want to Meet Urmila and Sukirta? Choose Your Timing Wisely
One of the highlights of Urmi Festival is getting an opportunity to meet Urmila and Sukirt.
From what I learned during my visit, they are generally available in the morning and evening.
So, if meeting them is one of your main reasons for attending, I would suggest avoiding the afternoon.
Also, be prepared for a long queue!
But what I genuinely appreciated was the warmth with which Urmila interacted with visitors. Despite so many people waiting, she made an effort to meet everyone.
10. Some Businesses Absolutely Nailed Their Branding!
Now, this is something I couldn’t help noticing as a content and branding professional.
Some businesses understood the assignment perfectly!
Their stalls had clean banners, clear logos, attractive product displays, and strong brand identities. Not to mention, their polite customer service made the experience even better.
However, some businesses seriously need to work on their branding.
A tiny A4 paper with a generic AI-generated design is not enough to make your business memorable.
Imagine someone loves your product, but your stall is crowded. They decide to purchase later. How will they find you online if they cannot even remember your brand name?
Exhibitions are not just about immediate sales. They are equally about brand awareness and building recall.
And please, guys, don’t depend entirely on ChatGPT to create your brand identity. AI can help you brainstorm, but good branding requires creativity, strategy, and professional design.
Small businesses deserve strong branding too! If you are getting an opportunity to showcase your unique products at a mega event like Urmi Festival in Pune, your branding should be on point!
Final Thoughts: Is Urmi Festival Pune Worth Visiting?

I genuinely enjoyed exploring the stalls, discovering homegrown businesses, and seeing the effort that went into organising the event.
A special appreciation to Urmila and Sukirt for bringing so many businesses and visitors together.
If you enjoy handmade products, traditional jewellery, unique home decor, and discovering small Indian brands, Urmi Festival in Pune is definitely worth exploring.
And if you are a business owner participating in exhibitions, remember one thing: People may forget what they purchased, but a memorable brand can stay with them for years. Follow YouthKnows for more such blogs.
